Hannah’s road traffic accident settles for £50,000 (Newtownards)
Hannah was driving home from a fast-food takeaway with her partner in Newtownards when another driver came over a hill at speed. The driver had narrowly missed a collision with another vehicle and in doing so veered onto the wrong side of the road. The oncoming car crashed directly into the front of Hannah’s car causing extensive damage in a particularly nasty accident. The motorist that narrowly avoided an accident called the police and an ambulance. Both Hannah and her partner were taken to hospital where Hannah was treated for soft tissue injuries and a number of fractures in her right arm. One fracture was quite serious and took a while to recover from.
Hannah contacted Paschal O’Hare Personal Injury Solicitors with a view to claim for compensation. We had Hannah examined by a consultant orthopaedic surgeon and sent a letter of claim to the insurer of the driver at fault. Liability was admitted and we entered settlement negotiations. After some back and forth we settled the case for the sum of £50,000 of compensation.
