Sarah’s car crash claim settles for £4,000 (Greenisland)

Sarah was in her car waiting to emerge at a junction onto a main road when another car crashed into the back of her. The impact caused injury to her neck and upper back whilst also aggravating pre-existing lower back pain.

Liability was admitted by the other driver but they claimed that the impact was minimal

Sarah contacted Paschal O’Hare Solicitors.

A “take it or leave it” offer was made of £3000 by the other driver’s insurance company. They rather aggressively indicated that no further offers would be made if we issued legal proceedings and that Sarah would be cross examined to the alleged minor impact during questioning in court. The £3000 offer was flatly rejected.

Calling the insurance company’s bluff, we issued legal proceedings. Shortly after a settlement of £4000 was reached with the other driver’s solicitors without the need to progress to court.
