About Us

Paschal O’Hare Solicitors

Founded by Paschal J O'Hare in 1969 to safeguard and care for the legal needs of local people. Although the firm has expanded over the years, Paschal O'Hare Solicitors maintain the same values that have been at its core for almost half a century.

Our Mission

We strive to meet and exceed the legal needs of our clients better than our local and international competitors by fighting on their behalf whilst never compromising our solid ethical foundation.

Highly Experienced

Our team of solicitors located in Belfast and Carrickfergus have a reputation for delivering the compensation that our clients rightly deserve in a timely manner. Over the years we have secured millions of pounds in compensation. Despite working fast and efficiently, we show each client that we care about their individual case. At Paschal O'Hare Solicitors, our clients are for life.

As innovators, we were the first Northern Ireland based law firm to simplify client communication and document handling with the use of a case integration mobile app. Our specially designed app has increased efficiency and decreased the average length of time required to settle or win cases.

Our History

Paschal O'Hare Solicitors was founded on 3 October 1969 by our namesake, the late Paschal J O'Hare, just 3 days after he qualified as a solicitor. The firm was originally located on the Antrim Road and later on Donegal Street. If questioned to name a great local law firm, Paschal O'Hare Solicitors would be the immediate answer for many across Belfast and beyond. Although the firm has expanded over the years, we maintain the same values that have been at its core for almost half a century.

Patrick O’Hare – Principal of Paschal O’Hare Solicitors

Patrick was educated at Trinity College, Dublin, graduating in 1990 and qualifying as a Solicitor in 1992. Over the last twenty-five years he has worked for Paschal O'Hare Solicitors where he specialises in all forms of Personal Injury Litigation and Clinical Negligence Claims. He is now recognised as one of Northern Ireland's leading practitioners in this area of Law and has been at the forefront of developing the Firm’s enviable reputation as specialists in both Personal Injury and Medical Negligence Claims.

Patrick has a particular interest in catastrophic claims where the impact on an individual and his or her family can have far-reaching consequences. Patrick comes thoroughly recommended by clients who feel secure in the knowledge that he and his team are there for them, from start to finish.

Outside of work, Patrick is a family man who loves nothing more than watching his sons play football with his wife.
“Patrick is a great solicitor, he is very good at what he does always with great results. I recommend him to everyone.” – Lee

Fergus Gibson

Having qualified as a solicitor in 1988, Fergus joined the firm in 2015 and brought a wealth of dynamic legal experience with him. The accomplished solicitor with refined talent presently specialises in personal injury law.

Away from practice, Fergus is a family man but still finds time to indulge in his enthusiasm for working with wood and especially his new found passion for wood turning.

“Professional and timely service provided by Paschal O’Hare Solicitors. I cannot recommend Fergus highly enough. Fergus was very pleasant to deal with.” – David

“I couldn't have been happier with the way in which my case was dealt with. Seymour was constantly updating me on what was going on and couldn't have been more helpful.” – Ronnie
