Once Bobby consulted with one of our solicitors, we contacted the third party insurers and secured an admission of liability. We were able to arrange for his vehicle to be assessed by an engineer who reported that Bobby’s vehicle was beyond repair and was therefore declared a total loss or insurance write off. We were also able to arrange a hire vehicle for Bobby and took care of the negotiations with the third party insurer with regards to the valuation of his car. Bobby was then paid for the pre-accident value of his vehicle and his use of the hire vehicle.
Bobby was examined by an orthopaedic specialist and a Consultant Psychiatrist who dealt with the injuries Bobby sustained. We then served the medical reports and opened negotiations with the insurers. An offer was made which, based on our knowledge and experience, was not correct. We then spoke to the insurer and countered the offer with our own valuation of the claim.
We then successfully settled all aspects of the claim for £44,553 and both Bobby and ourselves were glad that we were able to settle the case at a value that fairly reflected the extent of his injuries.
