Cole’s car accident settles for £11,000 (Ballyclare)

Cole was involved in a car accident on the A57 between Ballyclare and Ballynure. He was driving along when suddenly, and without warning, another vehicle travelling in the opposite direction attempted to make a right turn across his path, causing a collision.

Cole reached out to our car accident solicitors

Cole contacted Paschal O’Hare on a recommendation from a friend. Our solicitors quickly established that we could assist in bringing a claim for compensation arising out of the incident.

We immediately conducted a search of the third party’s vehicle registration in order to establish the identity of their motor insurer. A letter of claim was directed to them setting out our client’s allegations. We were able to secure and admission of liability a short time later.

Our solicitors arranged for Cole to be examined by a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon. We gathered Cole’s notes from a Chiropractor and provided these to the Consultant. Cole was suffering low back, neck, and shoulder pain as a result of the accident. The medical report documented the reduction of the Cole’s recreational activities as a result of his injury, the Consultant was of the view that this would continue for up to 15 months.

We entered into negotiations with the third party insurer. An initial offer was made, which we rejected. A settlement figure of £11,000 was secured after a further period of negotiation with the third party insurer.
