Ryan’s road traffic accident settles for £17,500 (Belfast)

Ryan was involved in a road traffic accident at the Knockbracken Rd junction in Belfast. He was a rear seat passenger travelling in his father’s vehicle which was sitting stationary when a vehicle driven by a third party rear ended their vehicle. Ryan sustained injuries to his back and neck together with psychiatric injury and sought treatment in his local hospital.

Ryan reached out to our car accident solicitors

Shortly after his accident, Ryan contacted Paschal O’Hare Personal Injury Solicitors for assistance.

Once Ryan consulted with one of our solicitors, a search to confirm the correct third party insurer was carried out and a letter of claim was directed to the relevant insurance company. Our solicitor quickly secured an admission of liability from the third-party insurance company.

We arranged for Ryan to be examined by a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon and a Consultant Psychiatrist. We gathered Ryan’s GP notes and records together with hospital records and provided these to the Consultants who produced reports detailing the nature and extent of Ryan’s injuries.

After medical evidence was served, negotiations commenced between the third-party insurer and our office. The third-party insurer initially offered Ryan £10,000 which was rejected. We were able to negotiate an increased settlement figure of £17,500 which Ryan was very happy with.
