Lucy’s trip accident settles for £20,000 (Belfast)

Lucy was involved in a trip accident when she was visiting the Titanic Centre in Belfast. As she walked outside the main building, she stepped on a loose paving stone which lifted, causing her to fall. She injured her arm, knee and lower back from the fall.

Lucy reached out to our slip and trip accident solicitors in Belfast

Lucy was able to find our firm online and read on our website that we offered free telephone consultations. She reached out and was immediately put it touch with one of our specialists to discuss her case. We told her that we would be able to help her with her trip accident claim.

Lucy was able to provide us with photographs of the loose paving stone and we promptly set up her case. A letter of claim was sent to the Titanic Centre and this was passed onto their insurer, who dealt with the claim on their behalf. Liability was admitted after a brief period of investigation.

We arranged for Lucy to be examined by a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon. The Consultant reviewed Lucy’s relevant medical documentation and examined her. His report commented on injuries to her back, knee and arm. He noted that Lucy was suffering from tingling and discomfort in her fingers, and had scarring on her forearm that was likely to be permanent.

We served Lucy’s medical evidence and entered into discussions. A figure of £20,000 was agreed between the parties in settlement of the claim. Lucy was happy with the outcome of her case.
