Mary’s fall accident settles for £22,500 (Newtownabbey)

Mary was involved in a fall accident when she was walking to a shop in Newtownabbey. She was walking down steps leading to the shop when a paving slab below her moved causing her to fall forward.

She was in considerable pain and attended Antrim Area Hospital for her injuries.

Mary reached out to our slip and trip solicitors

Mary contacted Paschal O’Hare Personal Injury Solicitors in order to learn about her options.

Once Mary consulted with one of our solicitors, a letter of claim was directed to the landowner settling out Mary’s allegations. An admission of liability was not forthcoming and Court proceedings were issued.

We arranged for Mary to be examined by a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon and a Consultant Plastic Surgeon. We gathered Mary’s hospital notes along with GP notes and records and provided these to the Consultants who produced reports detailing the nature and extent of her injuries.

After medical evidence was served, and input from our consultant engineer, negotiations commenced between Solicitors for the third-party and our office, eventually resulting in Mary’s case settling for £22,500 prior to a court hearing. Mary was pleased with the results.
