Once Megan consulted with one of our solicitors, a search to confirm the correct third party insurer was carried out and a letter of claim was directed to the relevant insurance company. Our solicitor quickly secured an admission of liability from the third-party insurance company.
We arranged for her to be examined by a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon. We gathered her GP notes and records together with hospital records and provided these to the Consultant who produced a report detailing the nature and extent of her injuries.
Megan was also required to take time off work as a result of the accident resulting in a loss of earnings claim. We gathered the relevant documentation in order to include her loss of earnings in her claim.
After medical evidence and loss of earnings documentation was served, negotiations commenced between the third-party insurer and our office. The third-party insurer initially offered Megan £12,500 which was rejected. We were able to negotiate an increased settlement figure of £13,500 which Megan was very happy with.
