Graeme’s accident at work claim settles for £22,500 (Belfast)

Graeme was working with an angle grinder when it unexpectedly kicked back. The tool used to cut through metal immediately cut through his clothing and caused a nasty laceration on his arm. Unfortunately, the wound left significant scarring.

I contacted Paschal O’Hare Solicitors having dealt with them previously – Graeme

Graeme contacted Catherine Logue of Paschal O’Hare Solicitors having been represented by her in the past and being happy with the outcome. At this time, our returning client believed that his employer would not likely accept liability for the painful injury. We commissioned an expert medical report that outlined the details of the injury. From here, we issued court proceedings against Graeme’s employer.

The defendants maintained their denial

Despite Graeme’s employer continuing to deny any liability, they offered little to support this. We pressed them for documentation relevant to the incident and the circumstances behind it. Now under pressure, the employer agreed to consult with us and a settlement of £22,500 was agreed upon.
